For many years, Mr. Lee has been nominated by The Three Best Rated as top 3 divorce lawyer, top 3 immigration lawyer, and top 3 criminal defence lawyer in Burnaby.

He speaks fluent English and Mandarin and understands Cantonese. Originally a graduate of Wuhan University, China, he achieved an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Calgary in 1994. He was awarded Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria Law School in 2000. In 2015, Mr. Lee completed his life coaching program and was awarded a Certificate of Art and Science of Life Coaching from Erickson College.

Mr. Lee was called to the British Columbia Bar in January 2002. For the past two decades, he has represented clients in all levels of courts and tribunals, including BC Provincial Court, BC Supreme Court, Federal Court of Canada, and Immigration Appeal Division.

As an advocate for equal access to justice, Mr. Lee is active in the community. He volunteers his time and expertise for legal aid services and organizations, including the Law Society of British Columbia, the People’s Law school, AM1320 Radio Station, Fairchild TV, and SUCCESS. He was also on the advisory committee of the Violence Against Minority Women Project 2010, funded by the Ministry of Attorney General.

For the past 10 years, Mr. Lee has served as a principal and mentor for many young lawyers who are now actively serving the Chinese communities.

Mr. Lee is a speaker in a special feature of Talking About Abuse in Mandarin, televised across Canada. He also appeared in a documentary as an expert to comment on Canadian immigration law and policy, produced by Dutch National TV and aired all over Europe.

Mr. Lee is a frequent expert guest speaker for AM 1320 CHMD and Fairchild Television and a legal commentator for Vancouver Sun, The Province, Singtao Daily, and Ming Pao Daily newspapers.

Mr. Lee is also a member of the Society of Translators of BC (STIBC) and is qualified to provide certified translation for Chinese-English documents.

Mr. Lee’s hobbies include travelling and writing. He travelled extensively in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Over the years, Mr. Lee realized that our legal problems are only the tip of the icebergs in our life problems. The latter is more complex, subtle and difficult to resolve, and frequently there is no sense of justice. As a result of this shift in thinking, Mr. Lee delved into spiritual, philosophical, and psychological studies for a few years. In 2014, he studied the Art and Science of Life Coaching at the world-renowned Erickson College and, as a result, he is now qualified to coach clients as a professional life coach. In 2015, Mr. Lee was trained by Richard Bandler, the co-founder of NLP, to be a certified NLP practitioner.

Mr. Lee is the creator of S.W.F.T. Transformation Coaching® and believes that everyone is a success in every aspect of life and success is in your mind and at hand, and it is only a thought away. Mr. Lee is willing, happy and able to inspire you through his coaching to enable you to become one of the millions of success stories – only if you believe in yourself.
